Connecticut InFocus Featured at Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast Series
Executive Speaks About the Importance of Market Research

GLASTONBURY, CT September 26, 2005 - Meghan Hamel, associate director of Connecticut InFocus, one of the Northeast's largest focus group facilities and a subsidiary of Cashman+Katz Integrated Communications, presented to a group of entrepreneurial business executives at a September 21 Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce breakfast series, entitled Understanding Your Customer - Growing Your Business Through Applied Research Techniques.

Hamel spoke about the two types of market research - qualitative and quantitative, the approach that Connecticut InFocus takes with clients, screening processes for focus groups and individual interviews, and goals. She also introduced the term "ideation", which enables businesses to test their strategic ideas and messages with their management teams in an objective environment. She also clarified when research can be most and least effective and addressed the budgets connected with typical research studies.

"There are many tools to be used with marketing research," says Hamel. "At Connecticut InFocus we help people really dig deeper and find out what they know about their own business. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to educate local business leaders about market research, and ways to not only learn more about their business, but grow it as well."
